South Florida Regional Planning Council, working with Florida Department of Community Affairs, is committed to providing technical support to local governments throughout the region. Monthly meetings of professional planning staff provide a forum to discuss planning issues affecting municipalities and counties in our region, including comprehensive planning, land use, transportation, schools, water supply and changes in legislation. Local government planners are encouraged to attend.

In response to discussions held at the August 9, 2007 Joint Planners' Technical Committee meeting staff of the 
South Florida Regional Planning Council is working with local government planners in Monroe County 
to determine the level of interest in creating a formal planners' working group.

Monroe County planning related news will be routinely solicited and posted at this location as it is received.
