The State Road 7/ US 441 collaborative is a unique organization dedicated to coordinating its resources to promote economic vitality through aesthetic improvements, redevelopment and safety. Welcome to the State Road 7/U.S. 441 Collaborative web page! The State Road 7/U.S. 441 Collaborative is a unique partnership with a mission to promote the economic and aesthetic improvement of the corridor. The State Road 7/U.S. 441 Collaborative’s membership includes each of the 14 local government jurisdictions that span the State Road 7/U.S. 441 corridor in Broward County, Florida. The Collaborative also contains ex-officio membership from selected agencies and organizations. The State Road 7/U.S. 441 Collaborative is facilitated by the staff of the South Florida Regional Planning Council. In October of 2003, the State Road 7/U.S. 441 Collaborative began work on the development of a Strategic Master Plan for the entire 25.6 mile corridor. The corridor has been divided into nine planning segments. A public design charrette was scheduled for each segment between May 2003 and November 2005. The public design charrettes scheduled meetings have been completed. Implementation of the Strategic Master Plan for State Road 7 will be coordinated with each jurisdiction and agency – such as the road widening project currently underway by the Florida Department of Transportation, the Bus Rapid Transit pilot project, road resurfacing projects, and landscaping improvements to name a few.
